Day 1 - Brazil sample incentive program

" Arrival Rio de Janeiro Airport and transfer to Hotel Our uniformed, bi-lingual guides at the International airport of Rio de Janeiro will meet participants of the group, right after customs clearance. The transfer time with our deluxe air-conditioned motor coaches to the hotel will take approximately 35 minutes max., depending on the traffic conditions of this arrival day. En route, our guides will welcome all participants on behalf of 'the sponsor of the group' and shall also give some basic briefs about the city and their respective hotel.

Gimmick: ….to get into the local "samba spirit" we would like to suggest a surprise during the transfer service; A typical Mulatto samba dancer will make a surprise appearance and serve a glass of champagne during the transfer drive from the airport to the hotel - however, she has been previously hidden in the restroom of the motor coach….

- Arrival at the Hotel and Check in Upon arrival at hotel, check in will take place at a separate area and while check in formalities take place, a welcome drink will be served.

Dinner at Mariu´s Crustáceos This seafood restaurant is a must while being in Rio and its themed decoration is definitely the best closure to the experienced tropical atmosphere of the day.....

Day 2

Buffet breakfast at the Hotel.

Group will board 4x4 jeeps and depart from the hotel for a visit of the second post card site of Rio : The Statue of Christ The Redeemer, locally called Corcovado. After a short drive through the city district of Santa Teresa, the jeeps will cross the Tijuca Forest - known also as the biggest urban rainforest of the world within the parameters of the cosmopolitan city of Rio de Janeiro. The top of the statue of Corcovado (800M - 2,400ft), is an imposing monument with its 40M height and 1,100 tons, and allows spectacular 360 degrees views of the scenery below, encompassing city, bay, mountain and sea within a circle of up to 160Km - 160 miles.

Lunch at Confeitaria Colombo The group will be lead to ´Confeitaria Colombo` for lunch, the oldest tea room of Rio de Janeiro, located at the old city centre. Its magnificent salons, lined with ornate jacaranda-framed mirrors and the art nouveau décor, make this lunch venue a special treat to any visitor who likes to enjoy the glamorous atmosphere of the past century…..

 Group will be picked up at the hotel for a Corcovado Tour in 4x4 jeeps. The tour goes through Floresta da Tijuca until Corcovado Statue. A group of Samba Trio and two mulatto girls arrive and start perform. Afterwards, the group will be served by the mulatto girls with some local drink (batidas).

16h30 p.m. Departure of hotel for: Visit of famous Sugar Loaf, including a Helicopter scenic over flight of Rio and Sunset Cocktails, followed by a dinner at 'Porcão', a typical Brazilian steak house. Departure from the Hotel for a first sight of Rio, proceeding to Sugar Loaf - with its unique situation at the entrance of the Guanabara Bay, allows literally a close look at the city and its beaches from high above (400M - 1,200Ft.). The top is reached by a modern two-stage cable car ride, lasting altogether less than half an hour, enjoying the limitless view over the city, its mountain range in the back, the bay cut by the great bridge over to Niterói and the ocean.

A one hour cocktail will be served at the first stage of the Sugar Loaf called Urca Hill enjoying the fabulous sunset of the city of Rio. The cocktail includes mineral water, caipirinhas, soft drinks, beers and wine.

While part of the group enjoy the cocktails, the other part will be boarding Helicopters for a 07 minute scenic flight over Copacabana beach, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Ipanema and Leblon Beach and finally the Corcovado Statue……

After descend of the Sugar Loaf, group will proceed for dinner at Restaurant - Porcão Rio's, a typical Brazilian steak house Porcão Rios- Porcão is considered one of the best Steak house Restaurant in town, located at the Flamengo Park with a beautiful view of the Guanabara Bay and the Sugar Loaf. The restaurant offers a large buffet, with many different salads and a variety of other dishes. At the table, more than twenty four different cuts and types of meat will be served by waiters, offering the delicious meat right from the spit …..

Return transfer to the hotel approximately at 21h30 Optional - before entering at the Restaurant, group will be taken to the terrace of the restaurant where they will see a Capoeira presentation. The presentation takes about 20 minutes and will be done at the terrace of the restaurant from where we have an astonish view of the Sugar Loaf and the Guanabara Bay.

Day 3

Buffet breakfast at the Hotel

09h00 a.m. Depart from hotel for: A full day excursion to the Tropical Islands, with lunch... This out-doors day activity is one of the highlights of a visit to Rio. The group will board the deluxe air conditioned motor coach and depart the hotel. After a scenic drive of approx 90 minutes, along the south coast of Rio, the small fishermen' village of Itacurusá is reached - located at the entrance bay of Angra dos Reis - an area with over 300 tropical islands! There the group will board a Brazilian schooner and enjoy the area whit its tropical scenery. A short stop at a secluded beach for a swim, before calling at the tropical island, itself, where lunch will be served under the shelter of the Imperial Palm trees……After lunch, participants can enjoy the beach and the bucolic scenery of the cove, surrounded by tropical vegetation. The return cruise will be in the afternoon and arrival at the hotel is approximately at 18:30.

Optional enchantments for this day activity: 1) Open bar during boat trip and/or during lunch: caipirinha, soft drinks, mineral water and beer 2) Samba Trio A trio of samba players and 2 'mulatas' (typical Brazilian girls dressed in Carmen Miranda outfits) for the boat (s). The musicians and the 'mulatas' will entertain the passengers during the boat trip and also at the Island, by playing all together famous Brazilian Samba rhythms and the 'mulatas' will teach the passengers to dance our Samba dances.... 3) Treasure Hunt A Treasure hunt can be organized, where as each participant receives a map of the Island, along with the written clues and tasks. There will be a total of 06 hints which will lead them to the treasure, ……the prize can be two bottles of local champagne or upon request any other prize can be given depending on group's sponsors choice.

20h00 Depart from hotel for dinner at Cais do Oriente followed by Rio Scenarium This restaurant is with its exotic, charming ambience a perfect setting for a casual get together dinner.

Rio Scenarium. Located in the heart of Rio's newly renovated Lapa district, Rio Scenarium is an antique gallery by day, which each night is transformed into a classic old style Rio dance hall. Here you'll find a festive mix of Brazilians and foreigners enjoying traditional samba music along with a wide variety of other Brazilian beats. Without doubt the most original bar in town, you'll feel like an extra on a movie set. The bar is jammed full of bizarre and amazing artefacts from the past including a mannequin of Marilyn Monroe, a British red telephone box and some spectacular 70s furniture. Packed out every night of the week, booking is a must - try to get a table upstairs near the window for a great view of the place, or downstairs for the live bands that play. Rio Scenarium is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 7 p.m. until the last customer wants to leave!
